Planmeca ProMax® 2D S3 Panoramic Imaging Unit
Built with a range of 2D diagnostic capabilities — from panoramic imaging to true extraoral bitewings, TMJ assessments and more — the Planmeca ProMax 2D S3 is designed to satisfy a full range of maxillofacial imaging needs. In addition to its advanced features, such as Auto Focus and Dynamic Exposure Control, the Planmeca ProMax S3 is fully upgradeable, allowing you to add 3D imaging capabilities or a cephalometric arm.
Description
The Planmeca ProMax 2D S3 is a comprehensive panoramic imaging unit designed to meet the most demanding 2D imaging requirements. It effortlessly handles panoramic imaging, true extraoral bitewings, pan segmentation, linear tomography, TMJ and sinus imaging, providing a complete solution for routine diagnostics — all from a single extraoral unit. Featuring patented three-joint Selectively Compliant Articulated Robot Arm (SCARA3) technology, the Planmeca ProMax S3 offers an unlimited range of movement for capturing clear, highly accurate dental X-rays during rotational maxillofacial imaging. With advanced features like Dynamic Exposure Control, it ensures precise exposure adjustments based on each patient’s anatomy and bone density. In addition, the Planmeca ProMax 2D S3 is fully upgradeable to 3D or can be outfitted with a cephalometric arm, enhancing diagnostic capabilities as your practice evolves.
- Seamless patient positioning. The Planmeca ProMax S3 features an open-face design for clear, full-view patient positioning, complemented by a triple laser beam system that ensures precise anatomical alignment
- Vibrant user interface. The full-color user interface guides you through the imaging process with clear text and images, offering customized focal layers, pre-programmed exposure values and more
- Sharp autofocus. This panoramic machine captures sharp panoramic X-rays with minimal retakes, thanks to its unique Auto Focus feature, enhancing efficiency and diagnostic accuracy
- Reduced radiation doses. Designed with safety in mind, Planmeca ProMax 2D units include a Child Mode that reduces the imaging area and exposure values, ensuring safer, lower-dose scans for younger patients
