i-CAT + E4D = 3-D Integration At Its Best
What happens when E4D meets i-CAT 3-D? The result is a dynamic pairing of technologies for implant and restorative planning and placement—expanded clinical capabilities, workflow, and time savings at its best!
i-CAT technology is already adding more precision to dental planning and treatment. During the implant process, the ability to see a “surgical view” before surgery, or to even avoid surgery altogether, is of great benefit both to the dentist and the patient. The capability to view the image 360 degrees offers the clinician the confidence that he/she will not be confronted with any surprises that impede the achievement of the ultimate goal—the successful placement of the implant.
E4D CAD/CAM applications also offer astounding practical benefits. From digital impression scanning to milling of surgical guides and restorations, the hardware and software programs of E4D put the clinician in control of delivering the services that are precise and efficient, all the while building the practice’s high-tech perception and its bottom line. The integration of these two leaders and exclusive Henry Schein dental technologies, E4D and i-CAT, allows clinicians to combine high-resolution three-dimensional cone beam scan data and digital impression scan data so that they can simultaneously plan implants and restorations together in one cohesive system. The integration utilizes E4D Compass Software that navigates the clinician through this process, and ultimately reduces the risk of implants that are difficult to restore, or can only be restored with custom abutments.
Together with the i-CAT, E4D facilitates the total implant process from start to finish. This combined powerhouse system provides all the tools for implant planning and restoration design in one software program, and is the only process that allows the clinician to simultaneously edit the implant placement, as well as design both the abutment and the restoration. Also unique to the E4D and i-CAT integrated system—it give dentists the flexibility to mill a single-site surgical guide chairside, completely in-house, or to use any surgical guide provider for full arch surgical guides. Especially effective for immediate load implant cases, E4D and i-CAT offer chairside milling of surgical guides so that the patient can be completely treated—from implant placement to the seating of the restoration—in one visit!
Adding further flexibility, the E4D’s Compass Software is available in two versions: Compass Complete for complete control over restorative design and implant placement and Compass Lite for implant position/orientation changes, ideal for planning the surgical phase.
Teamwork is key in any dental practice, from the assistants to the dentist to the patient. Now, teamwork between i-CAT and E4D can add a new dimension to teamwork and the team.
