Description
Designed to deliver exceptional 2D, 3D and optional one-shot cephalostat image quality, the Planmeca Viso Series CBCT unit offers the versatility needed for a wide range of treatment options. Featuring Planmeca CALM® technology that eliminates the effects of patient movement, along with occipital head support for more comfortable patient positioning, the Planmeca Viso is ideal for anxiety-prone patients and for those who have trouble remaining completely still. A perfect blend of patient comfort and unparalleled performance, this versatile CBCT unit ensures the ultimate in diagnostic flexibility — all in one groundbreaking device.
- Multi-use. Captures a range of 3D images — from a single tooth to a full skull — making it suitable for specialties ranging from general practice to endodontics
- Intuitive. Equipped with four built-in cameras and LED light strips for live patient positioning and pinpointing the exact region of interest
- Precise. Features a 120 kV tube voltage option that reduces 3D imaging artifacts, particularly on challenging imaging cases
- Proactive. Utilizes Planmeca Ultra Low Dose™ imaging technology to capture high-quality 3D images at significantly lower effective patient doses — all without sacrificing image quality
- Adaptable. Offers flexible field of view options, including ø3x3 cm to ø20x17 cm (Viso G5) and ø3x3 cm to ø30x30 cm (Viso G7)
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. Is the Planmeca Viso Series CBCT unit suitable for endodontics?
Yes. The Planmeca Viso Series CBCT unit is equipped with a 3D endodontic imaging mode that reduces the effects of noise — an issue typically associated with high resolution image capture. By utilizing this 3D imaging mode, clinicians can experience clear and smooth CBCT scans, making it particularly helpful for endodontics.
Note: This 3D imaging mode is also available for existing units with a software update.
2. What is the field of view positioning feature?
Patient positioning can be performed directly from the Planmeca Viso’s control panel using the CBCT unit’s integrated cameras and live patient view, allowing for exact and flexible field of view adjustments.
3. Is the cephalostat imaging an optional add-on?
Yes. The Planmeca Viso Series CBCT unit can be equipped with the Planmeca ProCeph™ one-shot cephalostat as an optional add-on. It offers short exposure time and a wide range of image sizes (up to ø30x25 cm with magnification), delivering low patient doses with minimal motion artifacts.
