Planmeca ProMax® 2D S2 Panoramic Imaging Unit
Whether you’re seeking standard 2D imaging capabilities or the flexibility to upgrade to 3D or cephalometric imaging, the Planmeca ProMax 2D S2 is an excellent entry-level choice. Designed to provide standard programs for panoramic, extraoral bitewing, TMJ and sinus imaging, the Planmeca ProMax S2 goes beyond the basics with its innovative features, including proprietary robotic arm technology, an open-face design and Dynamic Exposure Control — all engineered to capture clear and precise panoramic X-rays.
Description
For practices on a budget that don't need all the advanced 2D imaging options available in other models, the Planmeca ProMax 2D S2 is an ideal choice. It’s equipped to handle standard panoramic programs, PA and lateral TMJ, PA sinus and tomographic imaging, delivering exceptional value without compromising on essential functionality. Utilizing patented two-joint Selectively Compliant Articulated Robot Arm (SCARA2) technology, it offers maximum movement range and innovative features, including Dynamic Exposure Control to capture dental X-rays precisely tailored to each patient’s anatomy and bone density. Moreover, this panoramic machine is fully upgradeable, allowing you to upgrade to 3D imaging or a cephalometric arm as your practice's needs evolve.
- Unrestricted patient positioning. The Planmeca ProMax 2D S2 features an open-face design that ensures a clear, unrestricted view of patients during positioning, enhancing accuracy and comfort
- Sharp, error-free images. The unique Auto Focus feature, combined with a triple laser beam system, enables clear panoramic X-rays and precise anatomical alignment, reducing the need for retakes and saving time
- Easy-to-use control panel. The intuitive, full-color control panel provides step-by-step instructions and features, including customized focal layers and pre-programmed exposure values, ensuring smooth operation
- Lower-dose scans. Designed with safety in mind, the Planmeca ProMax 2D lineup keeps radiation doses low, particularly for pediatric patients, by incorporating a Child Mode that significantly reduces the imaging area and exposure values
