Its elastic edge conforms to the shape of the lingual surface of the teeth and allows for better adjustment to the X-ray source for a perfect alignment. It also reduces an overlap of image between the teeth, ensuring a clearer image and revealing hidden areas that are not normally found.
The Wave Sensor is rated IP68, meaning it classified to have complete protection against contact from dust and can be immersed under water for a prolonged period.
