Dentrix G7 is coming soon in spring 2018. With Dentrix G7, Dentrix users will enjoy additional features and enhancements that reflect new, ground-breaking imaging technology, along with responses to their feedback on the customer suggestion site, User Voice. These enhancements enrich aspects of delivering great patient care. Here’s a quick run-down of new features in Dentrix G7.
Dentrix Smart Image
The dental market has evolved with respect to distribution agreements for various imaging vendors. With that in mind, we are expanding Dentrix imaging integration, bringing many vendors and tools into the Dentrix Patient Chart. This integration includes enhanced integration capabilities that go beyond what is available today in Dentrix. For example, depending on your practice’s imaging software, you can now initiate planned imaging by selecting one or more teeth in the Dentrix Patient Chart. You can then select the CDT code for the planned images, and the correct sensor will be selected and primed. Upon completion of the image acquisition, Dentrix automatically updates the payment ledger, as well as recare eligibility for future images. To see completed images from any participating vendor, you can select from onscreen thumbnails. You can see ALL available images for the patient with the date of each image—viewing them one at a time, or viewing up to six types of images at once in a single view panel.
Have you ever dreamed of a single module to manage allergies, conditions, and medications that didn’t limit you to 64 discrete definition types and could pop-up in different areas of the application depending on severity? How about having it tightly integrated with patient questionnaires so that responses would flow into this module without manual entry? What about a place to capture the patient’s emergency contact and primary care physician’s information? All of this will be part of our new Health History Module. In addition to these amazing updates, you will have the ability to show the date items were reported to the office, when they first surfaced for the patient, and when they are no longer active. In a follow-up release, each patient’s medication information will show those prescribed by your office, as well as give a place to list medications that have been prescribed by others.
Additional Capabilities for Dentrix Pay
In Dentrix G7, we are adding the ability to link a saved credit card to a payment agreement using the new Dentrix Pay payment solution (introduced in Dentrix G6.6). You can then charge saved credit cards directly from Payment Agreement Manager.
In Dentrix G7, passwords, now required for all users, will employ today’s standards for complexity and expiration. The password requirements will be a minimum of eight characters with at least one upper and lowercase alpha character, one numeric character, and 1 special character (e.g. #@$*); or passwords with a 12-character minimum.
