Company Spotlight - Midmark Corporation

Dr. Anne Eiting Klamar, Chair; and Mr. John Baumann, President and Chief Executive Officer of Midmark.

How can a company with over 100 years of manufacturing experience be so refreshingly different from the rest? For Midmark Corporation, “experience” says it all. Founded in Minster, Ohio, in 1915 as the Cummings Machine Co., Midmark has a rich history of manufacturing and product leadership that has been solely focused on the health care market since the 1970s. Today, Midmark is made up of more than 1,800 teammates across nine domestic sites and two international locations who provide solutions to the medical, dental, and animal health markets.

Dr. Anne Eiting Klamar, Chair of the Board of Directors, claims a long history with the company. A medical doctor, Dr. Klamar is the fourth generation of the Eiting family to hold a leadership position with Midmark. Midmark is led by President and Chief Executive Officer John Baumann, who sees great value in the company’s strong yet diverse past. “We have continued to build a company through new product development and innovation that provide benefits to our customers,” he explains.

The Midmark difference in the dental market starts with its products, which include chairs, delivery systems, cabinetry, lights, air compressors, vacuums, imaging, and instrument processing equipment. But you will soon discover that award-winning products make up only one of the many sides of Midmark.

Equipment is just the beginning

Work with Midmark designers to create 3D renderings of your selected equipment and floor plan.

If you are planning a new dental facility or upgrade, could you use advice about how to reconfigure your existing space? Or the pitfalls to avoid as you plan a new facility? Then an ImpactDesign™ seminar, sponsored by Midmark and presented by Dr. Jeff and Pat Carter of Practice Design Group, may be a great next step.

You could also sign up for a Midmark Experience trip to help you put your plans into action. This personal visit and consultation at the Midmark manufacturing campus in Versailles, Ohio is both a relaxed getaway and a focused design exercise.

It’s all about people

Its 100-year history has given Midmark a lot to be proud of. But what heads the list? As CEO John Baumann puts it, “Our biggest achievement at Midmark is our people. We are grateful for the unique culture they have helped build that includes caring for others and making a positive difference professionally, in our communities and in the marketplace.”

The belief that everyone deserves accessible, quality health care is more than just a philosophy for Midmark. The company supports organizations around the world through corporate sponsorship and customer donation programs. Midmark also helps its local community through employee-based giving committees, corporate donations, and partnerships with local organizations.

Midmark Corporation has a well-earned reputation for its culture of caring about dentists, their businesses, and the world in which we all live. Ask any teammate what Midmark means to them, and you may quickly see the Midmark difference for yourself.
